The Story:
Following a visit to the American Northwest in January, 2005, Hildegard returned to Belgium enthusiastic about of the differents Indian Pale Ales (IPA) she had tasted. With her passion for barley, yeast and especially hops, she wanted to brew an IPA of her own. It had to be special, an hommage to hops in the style of American Craft Brewers, but with a real Flemish touch. Her touch!
Using only different aromatic European hops and nothing but Pilsner malt, Hildegard has created a vibrant, hoppy, full-flavored top fermented and bottle conditioned golden special classic, Urthel Hop-It.
