Have you ever Tasted Belgian Fruit Beers ?

It is not a secret: the best Fruit beers come from Belgium. Fruit flavourings have been added to beer for centuries, with the art being perfected in Belgium.
Fruit is added either whole or as a concentrate to Lambic, Oud Bruin (brown ale) or, occasionally, white beer with the result of delicious cherry, raspberry, peach or backcurrant fruit beers.

Beerhere have created an exclusive Beer Tasting case with the best Belgian Fruit beers. It contains 5 Lambic fruit beers, 2 Oud Bruin fruit beers and 3 white fruit beers.

News from the Liefmans Brewery

liefmans Kriek renamed Liefmans Cuvee Brut

By the end of 2007, Liefmans brewery were under threat of being lost. However, Duvel Moortgat decided to take over the brewery. Duvel Moortgat undertook to rescue this piece of beer heritage, and also to provide Liefmans Brewery with a new and dynamic future. As a result, the Liefmans brewery's existing premier beers have been given a new look (Liefmans Kriek renamed Liefmans Cuvée-Brut and Liefmans Goudenband) and a brand new beer, Liefmans Fruit, is being added to the range.

Liefmans Kriek renamed Liefmans Cuvée-Brut is now available at BeerHere.

Liefmans Fruit will be available soon: watch our site!

Liefmans beer characteristic and unrivalled craftsmanship is found in the mixed fermentation of its beers and master blends. Mixed fermentation simply means that the beers are first left to ferment inside open keeves causing the controlled fermentation process to be complemented by a spontaneous fermentation of the brewery's own 'making', using microflora that are unique to the specific location, on the banks of the river Scheldt in Oudenaarde. This unique method of fermentation, which to this very day is made to occur inside the authentic copper fermentation keeves that date back to the early 20th century, ensures slow-paced maturation, thereby enriching the full-bodied flavour for periods ranging anywhere from months to several years. It is this spontaneous process that also gives each bottle its very own characteristics.

Liefmans was the first brewery to wrap each bottle in tissue-paper; All the bottles are hand-wrapped.
